i'm baaaaccccckkkkkkk

so after almost a year of not blogging (thank you senior studio/thesis), i am "taking it easy" with a summer internship (8:30-5:30 baby - i could get used to this real world thing)...which allows for time for me to UPDATE MY BLOG! like i have said before "better late than never..."

so the internship:
its going well. but i mean...it was only my second day! :) i like everyone that i work with, and so far i think auburn prepared me for the real world (aren't you glad to hear that mom?!). the past two days have been preparing a spec-book (DEFINITION- a HUGE book that lists EVERYTHING that your "design" entails. From bedskirt design to shower curtain rods...it...all...goes...in...there!) for a hotel in barbados! which is fun. learning a lot of "typical" and "standard" procedures in hospitality specifications and design. sometimes i feel that i am trying so hard to learn and remember everything that i am UNABLE to comprehend. oops.

well why i was taking a break at work today i stumbled across the recent issue of interior design magazine. and i absolutely fell in love with this picture. it has been on my mind all day! its a guestroom at a hotel in NYC...but i would LOVE for it to be my room...well...anywhere! it seems like it would be a very tranquil and relaxing room (two high priorities on my personal bedroom list).
how can you not be obsessed?!
enjoy. :)

and to keep this post a little random...
a best friend's boyfriend traveling through spain for the net few weeks, i thought it was only appropriate to have a "euro-trip 2010" throwback. this photo was taken in the sagrada familia in barcelona, spain (where that boyfriend happens to be...right...now).
